Tips for pet photography:

• Don't bathe your pet the day of the shoot

• use the most of natural lighting

• avoid direct sunlight, it can cause harsh contrast of colors and body

• direct flash can cause redeye and discoloration of pet's natural colors

• photograph the pet at their level

• take plenty of head shots for expression,  zoom lenses works well for this

• 3/4 body views show the best in photos

• have an assistant on hand to help with setting up the pet

• have favorite treats or toys available to calm and gain attention for the best shots
